The 2008 SEEDFINANCE National Stakeholders Conference hallmarks the inception of the Micro No More Movement, an advocacy for local economic development from the ground up. The micro-entrepreneur is envisioned to grow towards small-scale and even medium-scale enterprise levels and become significant players in local economic and community development. To be held this November 20-21 at Sabin Resort Hotel in Ormoc City, Leyte, the conference will be a gathering of different stakeholders in microfinance, poverty alleviation, and socio-economic development. Expected to attend are around 150 mixed delegates from the SEEDFINANCE board and management staff, the 55 partner-organizations of SEEDFINANCE, investors, stockholders, funders, service providers, the banking sector, the telecommunications sector, and other socially responsible and entrepreneurial stakeholders.
